McDonald Lake Campground

McDonald Lake Campground is a primitive lakeside campground tucked into the Mission Mountains a few miles east of St. Ignatius. It sits on the Flathead Reservation, with swimming, fishing, and paddling on the lake and trail access toward the Mission Mountains Tribal Wilderness. Facilities are minimal, and a CSKT tribal recreation and camping permit is required to camp and recreate here.

The campground sits in the Tribal Wilderness buffer zone, below the wilderness boundary; stricter regulations apply beyond it.
