Out on Lower Crossing Road in St. Ignatius, Black Wolf Ranch & Fiber runs one of Montana’s largest alpaca herds alongside a small flock of sheep. The fiber comes off their own animals and from other Montana ranchers, then turns into yarn and fiber you can buy right at the ranch store.
If you spin, knit, or just want to meet the herd, stop by for a ranch tour and browse the alpaca yarn and raw fiber in person. Call ahead at (406) 546-7949 to check hours and set up a visit.
