Big Arm and Dayton are two adjacent communities on the west shore of Flathead Lake, north of Polson. Both are small, both are lakeside, both lean fully into the lake economy. Big Arm State Park anchors the southern end with campsites, day-use beach, and a boat launch. Wild Horse Island, the largest island in Flathead Lake, sits offshore and is reachable by boat.
