Willow Creek Campground
Rustic honor-system camping on MT-212
About the listing The place
Willow Creek Campground is a rustic, low-key spot on MT-212 outside Charlo, set on about 20 acres of grass with willows, a small fishing pond, and horses on the property. It’s primitive camping the old-fashioned way, with tent sites, a handful of self-contained RV spots, fire rings and picnic tables, firewood, and a 1941-vintage outhouse. There are no electric, water, or sewer hookups, though the owners will fill freshwater tanks on request.
It runs on the honor system, so you pay what you think the stay was worth in the jar. The National Bison Range sits about 11 miles off, with Ninepipe close by, and Charlo just up the road for groceries, gas, and a bite. Call ahead at (406) 644-2356 to check availability.
