Western Montana Transit gets Lake County residents where they need to go, no matter their age, ability, or income. Rides cover medical appointments, grocery runs, social visits, and community meals, with trips into Missoula or Kalispell available if you give 48 hours’ notice.
There’s no fixed route or schedule. Trips are scheduled first-come, first-served, with qualified volunteer and staff drivers behind the wheel. Fares run from about $5 to $30 depending on distance, and many riders use Medicaid to cover the cost.
