Garden of One Thousand Buddhas

The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas is a public park, botanical garden, and Buddhist center in the Jocko Valley near Arlee, on the Flathead Indian Reservation. A thousand cast Buddha figures and a thousand stupas radiate from a 24-foot statue of Yum Chenmo, the Great Mother of Transcendent Wisdom, all laid out in the shape of an eight-spoked Dharma wheel. Founded in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism and dedicated as an International Peace Center, it welcomes visitors of all faiths to walk the grounds among native trees and flowers.

Admission is free and the garden is open daily with seasonal hours. Stop by to walk the Dharma wheel, browse the gift shop for books and Buddhist items, or catch a guided tour during the warmer months.
