About the listing The work
This Ninepipe Road site is Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ presence at the Ninepipe Wildlife Management Area, a state-managed tract of roughly 4,100 acres in the Mission Valley just east of Charlo. The pothole wetlands and grasslands here draw waterfowl, pheasants, and the birdwatchers and photographers who follow them. Hunting for pheasants, Hungarian partridge, and waterfowl is allowed under an agreement between the state and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, and the area’s also open to fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
